NAVIGATING LA SCHOOLS WITH JESSICA

Few presentations are as thoughtful, organized and
dynamic. I highly recommend this presentation!

Jessica Rivera McGlothlin has been helping families navigate LAUSD residential, magnet, charter, and private schools since 2017. She gives informative, entertaining presentations to preschool parents considering their elementary school options and to middle school parents seeking the best high school for their child.

Jessica has a unique ability to demystify the complex and often confusing enrollment & admissions system of LA schools. She teaches parents the terms to know, the differences in the types of schools, explains how each type of school does their enrollments and admissions, and empowers families to determine what makes a school a “just right” school.

She is available to give both in-person and Zoom presentations to groups of all sizes. Her unique blend of knowledge, humor, and first-hand experience with navigating elementary schools and high schools in the Valley will be invaluable to you and your group.

Jessica is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, with a BA in Creative Writing and Minors in Art and Architecture. More importantly, she has 4 boys in LA schools, ranging from elementary to high school, from charter to magnet to private. She knows first-hand what to look for in a school and how to avoid the many pitfalls of the school selection process.
